This month London Zoo is doing this "zoo at night" thing and we got half price tickets so went last week. I wondered if this was a chance for them to let people into the park while half the animals are asleep and it's too dark to see any others. It was really fun but definitely a bit of the above. It's basically a big party - tons of people, lots of food and drinking, and if you remember they're there while it's still light and they're up, you can see the animals. But definitely an experience! I'd never been there and it's crazy that this huge place exists in the middle of the city.

Here's their 70 year old tortoise. I thought it was a rock till they started feeding it a banana. Which grossed me out while everyone else was going "Awwwwww".
